Detroit baby, studied geophysics at Eastern Michigan University as a 20 something, moved to Portland Oregon and did post-bacc studies in philosophy, moved to Ohio to study philosophy at Kent State University, lived in Alaska for a summer and landed in Philadelphia where I'm officed-up.
Did you see her part in the movie The Aristrocrats? She was over the top -- I think the only one to step over the line. Great stuff. I _love_ her delivery.
I didn't see the Aristocrats. I thought the whole point of that joke was to push it over the top.
Sarah does push everything. That's what's so truly great about her. She plays with all the taboo topics...sex, race, age, religion, politics...I heard an interview with her on Fresh Air this weekend. Can you believe she's be accused of being racist? Talk about Not. Getting. It.
Well, okay, Aerenchyma, I guess a song about slavery could be seen as just a Southern type of folk song -- if you're an ignorant white person. She probably believes that black people should just "get over" slavery because it happened so long ago.

La la la, what? You don't think slavery should be cast in a "fun" and "perky" light?
You certainly are a killjoy, aren't you?

And I am not a killjoy. I'm fun. And perky.
