Detroit baby, studied geophysics at Eastern Michigan University as a 20 something, moved to Portland Oregon and did post-bacc studies in philosophy, moved to Ohio to study philosophy at Kent State University, lived in Alaska for a summer and landed in Philadelphia where I'm officed-up.

I almost cried sitting here reading this. Because it's so lovely and inspiring, but also because so many of the dreams and goals he talks about seem so distant and broken now. Sigh.

Clinton's speech is so hopeful. It feels like it happened in a whole other world. Heartbreaking. I love him, by the way. For real.
