Detroit baby, studied geophysics at Eastern Michigan University as a 20 something, moved to Portland Oregon and did post-bacc studies in philosophy, moved to Ohio to study philosophy at Kent State University, lived in Alaska for a summer and landed in Philadelphia where I'm officed-up.

Polly, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that one is prone to fall behind on the pop culture bit when one does not have a TV. I do not, however, suggest getting one...try People Mag first...that'll help ease you in.
